At Faraday, each child is assigned a House: either Newton, Darwin, Hawking or Anning. These names were chosen by the children to reflect the scientific and historical importance of Trinity Buoy Wharf.
We believe a House system promotes a sense of identity, community and belonging across the school year groups.
We aim to create a positive, collaborative community that encourages teamwork by allowing the children to work in vertical House groupings for special curriculum days. There is a healthy sense of competition between the Houses and we hold regular quizzes and sporting events.
The House system also promotes leadership opportunities for the children who work on the Junior Leadership Team alongside our school staff.
