Each year, the Fishmongers’ Faraday Award provides a fully funded or subsidised place for a child joining Faraday School in Year 3 or 4. This award is supported by The Fishmongers’ Company, one of the Great 12 Livery Companies of the City of London. We are extremely grateful to them.
The award will cover up to 100% of the school fees for an academically able child who would otherwise be unable to attend and is currently attending a state school in Year 2 or 3. Special consideration will also be given to those showing creative promise but this is not a necessity.
Selection is based on the candidate’s current school report, a taster day at the school, which includes some assessments (no advance preparation is needed), and a school reference. Short-listed candidates are invited back with their parent(s) for an interview.
We look for candidates whose parents would not otherwise be able to afford an independent education and who would benefit from Faraday’s offer.
Applications open in March.
Previous recipients of the award have thrived at Faraday, with parents valuing the ambitious, rigorous curriculum, small class sizes, great pastoral care, after-school clubs, wonderful location and excellent senior school options.
The Fishmongers’ Faraday Award is part of our vision at the New Model School Company to broaden the reach of an excellent education to as many children as possible.
Please do contact our Registrar, Stefanie Harvey, by phone at 020 8965 7374 or by email at email@example.com. If you have any questions about completing the application form.
