We welcome pupils to Faraday who miss out on Reception entry and occasional vacancies can occur in Year 1 and beyond. Our small class sizes and well-qualified staff mean that even pupils joining mid-year settle in quickly as they join the Faraday community.
Please contact the Registrar, who will be happy to advise if there is space in the desired year of entry and help guide you through the admissions process outlined below:
STEP 1: SCHOOL VISIT (if there is space in required year of entry)
Contact Registrar to Arrange School Visit & Meeting with Head
If there is space in the year of entry requested, the registrar will ask your reasons for moving school and for details of any specific needs (learning or medical) that your child may have. A school visit and meeting with the Head can then be arranged, which will be an opportunity for you to get a feel for the school and discuss your child’s specific circumstances.
STEP 2: REGISTER & PROVIDE SCHOOL REPORT
Complete Registration Process & Submit Latest School Report
If it’s agreed that Faraday is the right school for your child in your meeting with the Head and you wish to proceed with admission following your visit, we will ask you complete the registration process and submit a copy of your child’s latest school report (including any support plans if applicable).
STEP 3: ASSESSMENT (TASTER DAY)
Registrar to provide dates for taster session & reference request sent
Following registration and receipt of the school report, the registrar will offer dates for your child to visit the school for a taster day. Prior to the this the registrar will send a reference request to your child’s current school. There will be informal assessments during the morning and any specific SEND will be considered at this point. No preparation is required.
STEP 4: FEEDBACK AND POTENTIAL OFFER OF A PLACE
Feedback
You will receive feedback on your child’s day at school and if an offer can be made the payment of deposit and fees become due on acceptance.
