Fishmongers Faraday Award

The Fishmongers' Faraday Award 2019 is now CLOSED.

Please read details of the past award below.  The new award is likely to be open for September 2020 entry to the school at the end of this year.

The award aims to provide a free or subsidised place for a child to join Faraday School in September 2019. The award will cover up to 100% of the school fees and may also contribute towards after school clubs and the school bus, depending on personal circumstances.

Any child currently attending a maintained school in Year 2 or 3 is eligible to apply and we are particularly keen for applicants showing promise in the arts and/or sport to register. Selection will be based on interview and references.  Additionally, candidates will be asked to provide their most recent school report and to attend Faraday School for a day, where they will undertake a range of activities and assessments. No advance preparation is needed for these tests.

We are seeking candidates who would not otherwise be able to afford an independent education and who would benefit from Faraday’s offer.  Prospective families will therefore need to fill out a comprehensive means testing form to better understand the family’s financial position. We understand the form can seem daunting and encourage you to contact us if you need assistance.

To be considered for an award, please fill in the application form below and forward the relevant section to your school for a reference.  You will also need to complete the bursary application form.

Please do contact us on 020 8965 7374 if you would like to make an appointment to visit Faraday School prior to making an application and/or you have any specific questions.

The deadline for all applications is Friday 18th January.

Faraday School are extremely grateful to the Fishmongers' Livery Company for making this award possible. Visit their website for further information on the work of the Fishmongers.
