Admissions - how to apply

Faraday School seeks committed families and pupils who can contribute to and benefit from its high standard of education and care.

For entry into Reception, we ask that you attend one of the open mornings, to find out all about Faraday School. To book a place on an open morning, please complete a booking form.

Faraday is a non-selective school at Reception entry (age 4).  To be considered for a place, you must be registered by filling in a form.  Once you have completed this and paid the registration fee, you are placed on the registration list.  Offers are made on a first come, first served basis, which means they are made in the order parents registered.  The sooner you complete the registration process, the more chance you have of being offered a place.  Siblings are given priority offers, but should be registered to be offered a place.

Offers are usually made one year ahead of your child starting school.  Offers will be made until the class is full.  This process can take a number of months.  Any registered children who are not offered a place are put on a waiting list.  Your child remains on the waiting list until a place becomes available, which could be a matter of weeks or months.  If no places are available for the start of Reception, there is even the possibility of a place becoming vacant in time.  We accept pupils in all year groups, at all times of the year, wherever there are vacancies.

For entry midway through the academic year, or for year groups above Reception, a private tour and meeting with the Head Teacher can be arranged.  For entry mid-year, an assessment may be made to ensure that we can meet the needs of your child and our other pupils.
