Most pupils bring packed lunches to school and all children eat communally.

We operate a healthy eating policy, so ask parents not to pack crisps, fizzy drinks, cake, chocolate or sweets.  Please note, we are a nut-free school and so no nuts, or products containing nuts, should be brought to school. Pupils should bring a piece of fruit to eat at morning break time.  If children attend after-school clubs, they should bring an additional piece of fruit as an afternoon snack.

Typical packed lunches could include: sandwiches, salads, cold meats, sliced vegetables and dips.  In winter, some children like to bring a thermos to school with hot soup or pasta.  There are no warming or cooling facilities available and parents are asked to ensure that they pack any necessary cutlery.  It is essential that cold lunches from home are packed in a cool bag with freezer blocks.

Covid 19 Current Arrangements: Children will eat in the hall on a table with just their class. There are two lunch sittings, the hall will be cleaned and sanitised between these. Please send the children in with snacks and lunches that they can open and consume without adult help. If they struggle with their lunch box please give them a disposable bag instead.

We are not yet reinstating Little Lunch Company, however we will be reviewing this once term has begun and we have assessed our lunchtime procedures.
