Salters' Hall Visit

Today, Years 2 and 5 visited the Salters’ Hall for a tour through history and a workshop about mummification! The children got hands on embalming, wrapping, placing organs in canopic jars and becoming archaeologists!

We learned lots of new and exciting facts about salt and how it was used through the ages- who knew salt was even used to pay people in the Roman times!

Isabelle said “Salters’ Hall was amazing and the day was full of exciting and new discoveries”

Jake said “my best thing was writing my name in hieroglyphics”

A wonderful day had by all!
